SUMMARY
An enthusiastic graduate with broadcast, creative and production experience. Experience within television studios, office environments and customer service-capable of dealing with members of the public and clients in a polite and professional manner. Currently working as a Production Assistant and looking for an entry into researching and producing.
KEY SKILLS
HARDWARE:
Basic Television Studio skills, Mini DV Camera semi-professional range, basic sound recording equipment for both outside broadcasts and pre-recorded television.
SOFTWARE:

BROADCAST AND MEDIA-RELATED EXPERIENCE
October 2010: European Tour Productions Ryder Cup
Assisted producer on sponsorship filming and creating packages for Ryder Cup sponsors to advertise their involvement at mass sport events.
August 2010: Golfing World Gran Canaria Shoot Junior Assistant Producer
Week long shoot on the island assisting Producer with shooting 22 Instructional features as well as shooting Destination Report. Shoot followed by a week long edit session to edit and script each feature and Destination Report for future episodes of Golfing World.
April 2010-Present: IMG Sports Media and Entertainment Production Secretary/Highlights Coordinator
Working across Golfing World, FIVB Swatch Beach Volleyball and European Tour Productions. European Tour Productions: Booking all post production aspects of weekly Highlights show, transcribing, and editing scripts, coordinating producers, editors, voice-over artists and sound engineers, compiling post production call sheet. Assisting editor in Eurosport cut down of Highlights show, producing script, music cue and broadcaster information sheet. Travelling to Main, Challenge, and Senior Tour Golf events as logger and production assistant. Golfing World: Researching footage, editing and scripting for show, coordinating sound dub and distributing scripts to clients. FIVB Swatch Beach Volleyball: Performing voice over, editing script, transcribing commentary, emailing all clients show output. Also working across World cup In flight series as production assistant for daily and weekly highlights show, editing and distributing scripts, directing voice over.
September 2009-April 2010: IMG Sports Media and Entertainment Production Secretary
Working across Trans World Sport and European Tour Weekly programmes. Booking crews, coordinating shoots, producing programme and shoot budgets, compiling call sheets. Administrative support, accuracy checking and editing scripts; producing Purchase Orders in SAP, checking budgets and costs against estimates; updating staff holiday entitlements, producing Music Cues, Broadcasters’ Scripts and Running Orders from originals in ENPS for IMG’s clients. Uploading declarations and documents into the PAP database. Performing Voice-Overs. Dubbing DigiBeta tapes to DV copies for programme contributors. Providing holiday/sickness cover for Production Assistant.
July 2009-September 2009: IMG Sports Media and Entertainment Internship
Undertook a two month production internship with IMG Sports Media and Entertainment. Worked as a production assistant on a number of broadcasts including the European Tour Production Turnberry Golf Open 2009 and the Manchester Premier Cup 2009.
January 2009: GMTV Scotland
Week long placement which included working with the news team to produce a number of news packages published on the morning news broadcast. Also worked in the studio and the gallery. Working with the presenters and production team fuelled love for production.
January 2009: BBC Scotland show Big Questions
Runner and general assistant on a live topical debate programme.

Part of fourth year university course, sourcing, filming and editing stories for the student run university news website.

A placement awarded over other students, worked with the entertainment section and news team and had several articles published.

Worked on the news team producing news stories for daily news bulletins on various shows, included presenter training at the station.
November 2007-May 2008: Napier University Impulse Magazine, Craighouse Campus, Edinburgh
Worked with a team producing a magazine within university to distribute around Edinburgh. The magazine was aimed at young professionals and was been completely produced by the students.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
Researchers Survival Guide. One day training at the Indie Training Fund. Covered the basics of Researching for television programming as well as writing briefs for show pilots.
Production Health and Safety Training. Afternoon training course within IMG Sports Media covering all aspects of health and safety.
2.1 BA (HONS) in Journalism from Edinburgh Napier University. Included theory modules in television, radio, print and magazine journalism, as well as media law, media ethics, journalism and government, public relations, advanced news and feature writing, production journalism and magazine production. Practical modules included presenting on television and radio, shooting using Mini DV cameras and editing on Final Cut Pro suites. Was also elected year head for the course and enjoyed representing the university at meetings and conferences.
